Having read every single word of every one of these entries, we'd like to go on record and say thank you very much Gnomon for this very well written, highly entertaining set of entries - a great addition to the h2g2 Edited Guide C55768.

Thank you. It was a pleasure to research and a pleasure to write, although I do feel that I won't be writing another entry about Byzantium for a while.

Can I add the word awesome to this.

I recently got overtaken by a desire to leard about the Roman Empire (some TV series was on about Julius Caesar and co. last year and it enthused me to learn some of its history) and I was very interested to read all about the Byzantine era.

I've only read the first two entries here so far but they are faultless and very interesting.
