Entry: Byzantium: Constantine XI and the Fall of Constantinople - A952193
Author: Gnomon - U151503

I've made a few changes to this, which I've marked in red. It's not a big deal, just some extra detail, but I'd appreciate someone looking them over.

This is an update to A13970612. It does not need to be announced on the Front Page (unless you really want to).

Just to warn you, these may be pedantic suggestions smiley - smiley

These sentences don't fit well together:

'Eventually, they managed to knock a hole in the outer wall. But however often they breached the walls, the Byzantines inside were there to repair the damage.'

It's the 'however often' that doesn't fit; at this point they've only done it once.

'The treacherous currents along this side of the city effectively protected it from any attack there.' - The treacherous currents effectively protected this side of the city from any attack?

'When the Genoans saw their leader leaving the battle, they spontaneously fled after him' - If they fled after seeing their leader leave, it wasn't spontaneous. Spontaneous means something that happened without anything causing it.

'Nobody witnessed the final moments of the last Emperor.' Really? There was no-one around at all? smiley - tongueout

Hope this helps, the revisions are excellent smiley - ok
