Certainly not advertising - I'm not terribly fond of the place myself. Their french fries are nice though. Covered with cheese sauce. mmmmmmm 
There are other restaurant entries in the guide. They're helpful to travellers who may come across certain types of chains in different parts of the world.

In that case if it's not advertising if you happen to be in Vienna before the end of the year check out MacDonald's (is that how you spell it?).
They've been offering just about everything (several months now) at 1 humble euro coin per portion at their several outlets including the place directly opposite the main entrance to the University in an effort to drum up some business. Offer on till year end says the frequent radio ad. People tell me the food tastes like crap but at 1 euro what do you expect?
