Someone's built a rather impressive Gruffalo on the village green at Pirbright, Surrey:

Not sure why they picked Pirbright (apart from it having a rather impressive village green). The only notable things I can recall about it are that a 2007 Foot-and-mouth outbreak originated in a laboratory there, and that nearby Alexandra Barracks was the subject of a TV documentary series about women army recruits a few years ago.
If anyone makes a journey to see the Gruffalo, then I recommend the Royal Oak pub (to the south, on the Aldershot Road).

There's a scarecrow festival on in Pirbright coming up. 13th June I think. Cool beans.
Heres a close-up!
