There's a water tower in the Swedish town Örebro which I've always liked. Built in 1955-58, it was designed by Swedish architect Sven Lindberg and attracted the attention of, among others, prince Feisal of Saudi Arabia, who had a copy built in his home town Riyadh.
The name of the water tower is Svampen (Swedish for mushroom) and looks like this:

The tower in Riyadh is green and white and used to be one of the most prominent landmarks in the city.
