been awhile since i did formal citation, and i doubt i ever footnoted a footnote, but where i have seen it done it isn't done with numbers.

I couldn't recall inserting that footnote either, so it must have been in there before I got it. I've now put footnote 2 in brackets and slightly rephrased footnote 1 to get it less complicated. Hope it's better now.
