A Conversation for Hyperons: Part of the Sub-Atomic World

I'm not know about sure about this, but this entry seems to me at least to offer far better proof of God's existence than any religeous dogma could ever hope to achieve. After all, how the hell could the Universe get into this state without outside assistance? Or perhaps physics will answer this question in time...

It is interesting that you should say that because I am in fact a firmly rooted atheist. The way the universe gets into the mess that it does is a mystery, but I like to consider the universe in the context of a multiverse - i.e. the many worlds theory.
In the multiverse theory there are parallel universes where hyperons exist and there are universes where they don't. There are an infinite number of universes that are inherently very simple, and an equally infinite number that are bizarrely incomprehensible. Because there are an infinite number of other universes that do everything our universe didn't in every possible combination and permutation, there is no reason to believe that our universe is 'special' because it contains hyperons or is complex in any way.
But that depends on the correctness of the multiverse theory. And if it is correct, it doesn't rule out the existence of God; in fact, god-like beings would have to exist in a community of universes where every possibility is enacted.
QED.

Yeah, I've heard a bit about the many worlds theory, and how particles in different universes can occasionally interact with each other.
Dr. Terence McKenna had a theory that if any two particles came into contact, they would continue to act as if they were in contact even if they weren't - they could be at opposite ends of the universe and behave as if in contact! This is the theory behind Doyglas Adams' Total Perspective Vortex, and perhaps it is the true nature of God? Hmm...

Interesting. One could go on speculating about philosophy forever! Thankfully there is a very easy way to prove the many worlds theory experimentally...

Are you going to tell me, should I look for an entry, or should I already know?
