I found your article extremely entertaining and interesting; particularly since my offspring is a Merchandiser at Boots Head Office.
Well Done!

I'm glad you liked it. I though 'merchandiser' meant 'shelf stacker' what does your offspring do?

Hi BPM!
She's one of those bods who draws up plans in a cosy warm office in Beeston, to decide where the stores should place the goods to the best advantage for selling I think. You know, if you've got a bad back, you don't want the pain killers on the bottom shelf; and you should put the poor selling lines where they shout at you to buy them etc;
I'm certain its more complex than that; but its my general understanding anyway.
Have you worked for Boots?

I don't think it is more complex than that.
I worked for Boots for five months from when I moved down to eastbourne with my wife until march when they ran out of money. I was only a christmas temp but I kept pushing for a longer contract, but they seem to spend money like water in eastbourne (which is a shame, because we haven't got any water) boots and so they had to let me go instead. At this point I applied to be 'sunshop consultant' and went through the interview process all over again. I have no idea if anyone will ever read this entry and benefit from it, but you never know.
