Can't say I'm overly fond of them to eat myself!

I always check them for maggots first. Hubby once brought me a bucketful of cherries he had picked from the tree at his workplace, and it was too late in the evening to do anything with them, so I left the bucket in the kitchen overnight. When I entered the kitchen the next morning, the whole floor had gone alive, there were maggots crawling everywhere
That put me off eating 'organic' cherries

You know, I was only just glad that I hadn't left them in the corridor, which has a carpet, not tiles

Just made a cherry tart from fruit I scrumped from my neighbour's tree (which overhangs my garden, I hasten to add . They are 'cooking cherries' rather than 'eating cherries, so they're better in a tart Wond'ring what to do with the juice...
