A Conversation for A Brief History of Winchester

The change from Winchester to London as the Capital of England had really started under the Saxons. However, William I was crowned at Winchester and London. The only monarch to have a double coronation in England I understand. The centre of Winchester is much changed from when I was a small child. With shopping malls being bult, the High Street used to allow traffic, it doesn't now. I even remember traffic going through West Gate, whereas it goes round it now. Worht looking at in Winchester apart from the Round Table, and cathedral must be the walk down the river towards St Cross. Many times I have done this walk, you often see the odd fish or so in clear running waters.
