"Twine Peaks
The World's Second Largest Ball of Twine, Cawker City, Kansas is possibly the weirdest title for an entry we've ever had."
Pah. That at least belongs to my other entry - the First Canoe to Fly Around the State of Liberty!
The editorial that day said "The First Canoe to Fly Around the Statue of Liberty is the wonderfully surreal title of today's entry. Intrigued? You should be. Read on to find out more... "

I like strange titles. They attract readers and they're more fun. Actually, I wrote the Canoe one because I liked the title too much to pass it up

Hey, I've got a little claim to fame. I wrote the only edited entry so far that has an elipse in the title.

Pah! That's a good title, and a good entry, but is no where near 'The First Canoe to Sail Around the Statue of Liberty'

For all-mine EG-Entries, I have a 100% record of having my original title changed by the sub-Ed
(OK, that's only 2 out of 2, but it still seems kind of significant)

If I remember correctly, the last one, Batavia, had its title changed from Waiting in Turn to Die - The Tale of Batavia, to The Tale of Bataviam - Waiting in Turn to Die

S'right. And what's now "An Irreverent History of Steelmaking" was written (and AGG/GAG posted) as "An Unreliable History of Steelmaking".

Jodan, your canoe lost it's wings and gained a sail? At least it's not flying around the liberty "state" anymore. It must be a truly odd title if even the author can't keep it straight.
