The Slippery Slope...

...is the newest book in the series. It's depressing and should not be read by anyone in serious need of cheering up. Contains revelations about the Quagmires and more VFD red herrings. An obnoxious character from an earlier book re-appears and takes obnoxiousness to new heights (a phrase which here turns out to be a pun). Gnats, casserole dishes, and nouvelle cuisine figure in the plot.

I give it smiley - oksmiley - oksmiley - oksmiley - oksmiley - ok.

Could you order it through Amazon.com in the USA or the UK? I've always wondered about doing that. I've used a credit card in foreign countries and the card issuer handles the currency conversion - and the various Amazon's ship internationally. On the other hand, the shipping charges would probably make it not worth doing...

Nah, it's not worth it. It's more expensive, and by the time it's shipped here the book will probably be out in the shops. smiley - smiley
