I never would have survived my year in Iraq without the aid of baby wipes. I used them for everything--cleaning my rifle, washing my face, wiping sand from my cot, cleaning my teacup.
They are, in fact, so massively useful that AAFES (the Army and Air Force Exchange Service) packages them in camouflage-patterned envelopes, labels them "field towels," and sells them in shopettes on-post.
Thanks for this entry! I feel better knowing I'm not completely crazy for keeping these multi-purpose items around.
