A Conversation for Bushisms: the Wisdom of George W Bush
It's worse than that.

George W Bush was a sports enthusiast, and had a great regard for the legendary baseball player Yogi Berra. It would appear that he purposely took on Yogi's way of mangling the English language. There are those who attended college with Bush and attest that at one time he was perfectly capable of pronouncing 'nuclear'.
Trouble is, when Yogi stretched grammar, it had some meaning. Yogi gave directions to his house which included the phrase "When you come to a fork in the road, take it." The fact was that either road took you there.
George W later used the same phrase, but without the context.
Yogi's creative and refreshing take on language is celebrated in many websites including http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/y/yogi_berra.html
