The best beach I know, mat no longer be with us. Pantai Kok is a beach on Lankawi Island, Malaysia. Long, curving, white sand, friendly beach bar (note singular), coral reef in the bay, frequent but short thunder storms help to clear the air before it gets sticky. I spent a week there on my own but never longed for company. A quiet idyllic place for contemplation.

St. Maarten/St Martin - Dutch/French West Indies
One island divided by two countries, the Netherlands and France.
Also known as 'the Friendly Island', these 37 square miles offer around 34 white sand beaches surrounded by a deepblue sea (the Atlantic ocean on the east side, the Caribbean sea on the west side).
Definetly the place for a wonderful vacation!
