I'm actually looking forward to it. smiley - hug Birmingham is actually an important city. Isn't it the second largest city in England? Birthplace to the industrial revolution? OK, so it isn't a fancy tourist destination.....at least it'a a real city with restaurants and clubs and universities and museums. Compared to where I live, there are lots of things to do there. smiley - smiley

It does have something in common with WC. Both are trying to recover from decades of industrial blight. You just have to do it on a larger scale. Then there were the pesky Germans trying to bomb you off the face of the map. In our case, it was lead and zinc mining.
