Sid - this is a semi-serious forum for debate - stop bringing dodgy Record Producers into the debate!

Ok, ok....if you want 'semi-serious', go hands-free!!
It works very well for me..(other than anybody watching you talking away to Mr Nobody whilst in your car thinks you've gone completly MAD)
No ear pieces, no wires and no fried brains. Just a mic in the roof and a speaker in the foot well. It even turns the radio off when a call comes in.

I can't imagine how anyone could drive & use one... I had enough difficulty making a cash machine withdrawal and crossing the road while talking on one to convince me that in the event that I learn to drive, my 'phone will be off in the car!

To use a Mobile phone whilst driving use the hands free attachment, see the relevant article. http://www.h2g2.com/A239050

Miss Loch....I am not flash (well not unless my shades are on!)
My phone is nothing more than an additional tool in my job. It allows me to fill some of the vast amount of time I spend in my car doing other things which normaly I would have had to wait to do untill I got back to my office.
I get taxed for owning using it for business!!
Joanna.....Driving and talking are possible without loss of concentration. I mean, if you had a passenger in your car, you wouldn't think twice about driving and talking to them at the same time would you.
*Sid steps off his soap box and pushes it aside*
Beep beep yeh!!

Its different, because the passenger in the car can see what you're doing. They'll shut up as soon as you look concerned... they look to see as well and won't distract you if you're coming up to somewhere which could be dangerous.... there also isn't the pressure to keep talking since you are paying for the time with a passenger in your car.
Assuming your passenger is a nice person, that is.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree!
And thats the end of it!!
No...no....I won't be swayed!!
I'm right and you are wrong!!

Agree to differ and hopefully not hold the other in contempt forever more?
'Cause I think you're wrong to

Sorry Joanna, I have to back Sid, as long as he isn't actually holding the phone it is possible to drive and talk without loss of concentration. But I wouldn't recommend it to a new driver. Once it becomes habit to use all three mirrors and keep an eye on the road, you can talk and drive trust me on this one. If you have a passenger though I do use them to answer or make calls, providing they know what they are talking about.

Thank you Demon!
Some sence at last!!!
I am totaly hands free. When a call comes in, the phone rings (No, really!!), the radio turns it self down, and if I choose to accept the call by either waiting for 'self answer' or press the accept button, I'm talking away.
No phone interception at all if I don't want...
BTW, my fingers are out of my ears!!
