If you use paper bags, you can only carry two bags (or three, if the third is either very small and/or very light). If you use plastic bags, you can carry more, but if you have far to go, your fingers will feel as if they are being cut off. And forget about anything too bulky to fit in a bag if you have other purchases...

You can buy plastic reusable boxes from our supermarkets with handles, These seem to work a dream for me, though I end up buying extras because I end up using them for storing things in at home!

If you're local supermarket has scouts,guides,army cadets etc packing bags ( for a small donation to their funds ) never let them near your shopping. The one thing they have never been taught is how to pack a bag of shopping. You either end up with your breakables broken, or walking at a weird angle because all the heavy items are in the one bag.

Hey they're only trying to help, you can ask them to pack things in a certain way if you want.

Well maybe it's just at the store I go to, they tend to grab things as soon as they have been scanned without asking if you want your bag packed.
I'm sure there are lots of good bag packers out there, just not where I live.
