Good work Roadkill. smiley - ok

This provides a strong definition for reference in the many religious discussion threads on this site.

Helps with the question of what kind of a god we are talking about.

By the way, did you know that omnipotence and omniscience are mutually exclusive, given that the rules of logic must be adhered to?

Ahem..

Omnipotence means God can influence events on Earth at will, to whatever extent He desires.

Omniscience means He can see the result of these events in the future. Indeed the future - THE - future is mapped out in advance to God. There is surely only one actual future, despite there being many potential futures and so God, being omniscient, can see this 'now'. His influence however can change this future if he so wishes - to another future which is not the actual future but another one.

In other words He can only see the future and be certain that it IS really the future if He can't influence it. If He can influence the future He must realise the future he sees might be changed by His influence.

An omniscient God not only takes away my free will - it takes away His own!
