Well, having read the previous posts I am shocked to see that they were all from 2003! Anyone would think that Top Trumps were a dinosaur and that it was a fad of the 70's and 80's with the struggle back during the 90's and 2000! Well, you are wrong!

I have a website which probably the biggest and definitely the best (as it has been used to help compile a magazine article and I am even asked about older packs by the Winning Moves section that deals with the latest Trumps) and contains old and new packs from across the globe as well as get the chance to see many packs card by card and there is a valuation area! What more do you want?

Top trumps have come a long way in the last 40 years and in my opinion is struggling due to the dependency on licensed packs such as the Harry Potter films, Star Wars, Buffy as well as the very dull football packs. I personally prefer the earlier packs and of the recent packs I prefer the German Super Trumpf and the Austrian Piatnik series'.

As well as the regular companies like Dubreq, Waddingtons and Winning Moves etc there are loads and loads of companies that release their own brands for promotional reasons. So there are lots of reasons why they should not be forgotten if not only for their game-play but also for their variety and ability to teach children and adults about such things like wildlife, space, chemistry, tractors, buses, computer consoles and recently released by Sky News a pack called Politicos, a pack of the main players in UK politics, in 2007 including Gordon Brown, David Cameron, Ian Paisley, Charles Kennedy and so on.
