As kids, we used to love the vaudeville-esque way Les used to announce the Blankety Blank chequebook and pen (or occasionally, chequepen and book) - a clap of the hands, a twist of the shoulders, a stomp forwards with the leading leg and a flourish of the left hand. We nicknamed this the 'Les Dawson shuffle'...
