A Conversation for A Guide to Buying Flowers
Florists
MrsCloud Started conversation Feb 1, 2005
I have seen today that my local florists is up for sale and I was looking for inspiration. My parent have recently, well a year ago now, bought their own business which since then has provoked me (and them) to think that maybe I could run my own business. I have business training from my engineering degree but not a huge ammount of experience. The florists caught my eye as I have been interested in floristy/arranging/ikebana for quite some time and have a natural flair for it but unfortunately no formal training. My mother has been studing for her NVQ in Floristry as a hobby but no where near where I live does this as an evening class or else I would have too.
Soo... anyway I don't know. I had wanted to see if anyone has any experience of running their own company, or even a florists, the business articles don't really cover it.
