an interesting little article!i should point out that some of the words invented for science fiction and fantasy have actually made it into dictionaries... for example, there was no such thing as 'robotics' until isaac asimov came up with it...
and re acronymic words - i'm sure that just as many people have heard of heinlein's 'tanstaafl': there ain't no such thing as a free lunch
