... I think of Aretha. Which is strange, since she never had a contract with Motown. But I am entitled to my opinion.
So ... my actual Motown favorite has to be Barrett Strong. His song "Money (That's What I Want)" has got to be near the top of any list of great rock songs. I mean, when John Lennon covers your song ...
