Skiing behind children - cautionary tale

Great entry
One point I'd clarify is that of following children down the slope. This is only effective if you can reliably catch up with them if they lose control.
My daughter when aged six hadn't quite mastered controlling her speed, started going faster and was unable to turn or stop. I couldn't catch up before she hit an A frame ski rack at speed, cracked her collar bone and fractured her wrist. This collision was fortunate, as otherwise she would have gone off piste into steeply sloping forest, and not been able to be taken into the mountain restaurant by the ski rack immediately to get assistance.
