many of the same principles apply to writing too, when you think of it.

"you must draw what you see, not what your memory tells you" replace draw with write.

"The best way to progress is to experiment."

"One mistake every beginner makes is to use outlines by default." i've seen a lot of this, i used to *try to write like the writer i liked most at the moment.

but also..."tracing can be a part of great visual experimentations!" as long as the imitation is part of the experiment, it does help learning!

my doodle book has more words and sentences than pictures, but now i think i'll try the drawing thing too!
