A Conversation for The Great British Breakfast
The Great Canadian Breakfast

In the same vein as my US, Irish and Scot brothers I would be amiss if I didn't relay the contents of such:
Pancakes (hotcakes, griddle cakes), usually small but often the size of the plate with butter and lots of real maple syrup. Back bacon (Canadian bacon or pea meal cured slices of ham in effect)fried just crisp on the outside but soft inside. Eggs (I like poached but most like them fried *sunny side up* or soft boiled to dip the Toast Soldiers in.) Toast (I like soldiers, or strips), but not cold- they have to be still hot from the toaster or fireside when it is buttered and immediately served. Strong sweet tea. Juice (tomato if you have a hangover, grapefruit if you want to start digesting right away, but usually orange). Often hash-browns although they have to be done just right. HP sauce on one side of the plate and ketchup (tomato sauce) on the other.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
