As was mentioned in the article a leading contributer to the hangover is dehydration. Drinking a reasonable amount of water before you go to sleep almost always guarentees no hangover in the morning. Not that you'll feel brilliant but the worst effects are drastically reduced. The problem of course is that you never really want to drink a large amount of water before you go to sleep when your drunk now do you.
