I first thought this might be a typo (always keen to find them
)
I believe it isn't a misspelling, but a brand name, and should thus be capitalized when speaking about the Lepel machine. see http://www.lepel.com or http://cap-sealing.com/

It also, presumably, shouldn't be spelled as "lapel" in the section headed "The Process".
