As a health & safety professional, I was always taught to correct the problem not find a work around, that the way the hazard is reduced or eliminated.
Instead of adjusting your wing mirrors to reduce blind spots - surely it is far safer to purchase an anti-blind spot mirror replacment for a few pounds - VOILA - No blind spot?

They make things look very far away. This way they appear the correct size.

let's not forget those blind spots that exist right in front of the driver?
Created by, large mirrors, thick screen pillars, curvature of bodywork, also, high rear bodywork......headrests, other passengers, dangly things, or simply inability or unwillingness to simply observe.
