I know this is taking pedanticism to new lengths, but wasn't the Bible originally written in Arameic?

I thought different bits of it were in different Semitic languages - but what do I know? I always thought the language of the Psalms was Hebrew.

Oh aye, you could be right - the Psalms probably were written in Hebrew.
I suppose it's just that I found the phrase a little bit odd more than anything.
Nice entry, btw. If only it made the Chichester Psalms easier to sing.
