great graphic and loved the article. I was taught how to wire a plug in my physics class. the teacher wasnt keen on me as he thought i was a smart**s. Although when i came second in his class, beating lots of 'top set' boys he realised that i was just smart 
(still - 'second' was never good enough for me 
)

Thanks Mort - the graphic is one of mine. I did a quick check to see what else was on the web and was fairly appalled to find wiring a plug in the GCSE syllabus. We covered it at primary school! Talk about dumming down of education. 
PS I was also not impressed with the standard of the graphics out there.
