Just finished Guards! Guards! on the daily commute this week - very enjoyable, as always.

I'm keeping an eye out for Pratchett in the Christmas schedules (none seen yet)

In the meantime, fans of the surreal will enjoy a rerun of Sir Henry at Rawlinson End, which starts next week in five 15-minute episodes:

I really must listen to some of these before they're lost for ever.

On another topic, I was fascinated when I heard of these things recently, and wondered when someone was going to call them "clacks"

There WILL be another Terry Pratchett book...

The final collaboration with Stephen Baxter of their Long series.

The Long Cosmos.

I like these books, but they just don't feel like Pratchett.

I do wonder whether Stephen Baxter will continue with them, and how much input Terry Pratchett had on the last one...

While I'm enjoying the Long series, they just don't feel like Pratchett books. But then again, Nation, doesn't feel like a Pratchett book either. He was not a one trick pony.

I don't know what this is like, but I imagine fans of Pratchett or Adams might enjoy it. It's Andrew Marshall and John Lloyd's Tolkein parody 'Hordes of the Things'. Starts Monday, in four 30-minute episodes:

I listened to all 4 of the Wyrd Sisters the other night. Sheila Hancock is perfect for the part of Granny Weatherwax.

I'm 3/4 through it, so don't spoil the ending yet! smiley - smiley

I like these BBC dramatisations - they go at a good pace.

I'll be listening to the Wyrd Sisters today as a welcome relief from the constant primary coverage on NPR. smiley - headhurts

I can't help but think of "Only You Can Save Mankind" as sort of a mash-up of "The Last Starfighter" and "Ender's Game".
