BBC Radio 4 will be re-running their dramatization of Terry Pratchett's 'Guards! Guards!' from Sunday 25th October. Not yet sure whether the 6 episodes will be broadcast daily or weekly from this date (in previous years it was daily)

That's exactly what I do too. I find radio drama is about the only thing that can drown out the madness.

I'm a secondary school teacher. Daily life is a bit too real, so I need some fantasy to balance it out!

Last night I saw a local theatrical presentation of _Guards! Guards!_ in a little town called Dickinson, TX.

The little boy playing the Librarian was adorable. "OOK!"

It's looking like the BBC Radio version of Guards! Guards! is going to be aired weekly on Sundays, which is a bit irritating. Not only is it longer to wait, but the episodes drop off iPlayer after 4 weeks. Make sure you check back every 2 or 3 weeks so you don't miss them.

We're halfway through Guards! Guards! - the first 3 episodes are available. Just a reminder that if you want to listen to or download them, then do it soon, as they will start to drop off iPlayer in a week or so.

(This thread has slipped down two pages in MyConvos due to NaJoPoMo traffic and there is still an episode of Guards! Guards! to go.)

It's not fantasy, but it's a gloriously silly war/espionage/sci-fi plot - very well characterised and acted. The British major is a real monster.
