This season so far has been a winter of contrasts. About a month ago, a rose was in bloom in my garden. Now we are experiencing a few days of 'proper' winter. The road was white like it was covered in snow, and the tyre tracks were pretty. As you can see in the closeup picture of moss it was actually a layer of hailstones that created the wintry scene.
