A Conversation for Remembrance Day
For all the fallen

When I worked in Bulgaria I went to a very moving ceremony in the War Graves part of the cemetery in Sofia. It was a joint service held by the Anglican and Lutheran churches there. (Very) old ,mostly Bulgarian, soldiers from both sides attended. The military attaches of the British and German embassies laid wreaths, we sang a hymn in each language and both national anthems and all repaired to the German embassy for hot wine and sausage rolls.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
