Factual correction:
Bernard Sumner (Nee Dicken, later Albrecht, then Sumner) played guitar/synthesizer/backing vocals.
Stephen Morris did not. He was responsible for drum programming & synth drums. His first venture into vocals was in the first New Order Demo of 1980, when he performed vocals for 'Ceremony'.
Stephen Morris later played synthesizer with 'New Order' as well as playing drums, drum programming.
