h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Three years ago, I found myself in love with a woman I could not be with because I was still married. She ended up moving away and it was shortly after that that we discovered that we had similar feelings for eachother. Now, my feelings for her have not changed and in fact seem to have gotten stronger. I don't know that she still returns the feelings. I don't want to mention anything at all because I don't want to hurt the relationship we do have. My heart is consumed with this woman so much it hurts. What do I do?

Gosh Ben, I don't know what to tell you. Did she move back to SL? Is she close enough to ask her out for the evening, just as friends, then sort of test out the waters without saying anything you'll regret? She may feel the same way about you and be afraid of saying anything for a similar reason. You could be losing a great opportunity if you just let it go.

I can't tell you what to do either, but I will ask a coule of questions. If she moved away, how far did she go? Has she changed her life completely? Do you see her often?

I ask becuase if she has gone far enough that you don't often see each other often, and if her life has changed much, she won't be quite the same person she was then. Similarly, the last couple of years may have changed you too. You may need to spend some time in each other's company to see if the changes have made a potential relationship more or less likely.

She now lives about 1800 miles from me. I have seen her once since she moved. The last couple of years have changed me somewhat, I am more confident than I was then. I'm not sure how she has changed, aside from some weight loss.

I've decided to be courageous and I am sending her a card which basically lays my heart out for her.

It's done, I feel a bit better now. If anyone wants to read what I wrote to her, let me know.

I have not had a response as yet. She has been down with pneumonia and I don't feel right in bringing it up while she's feeling so ill.
