Thanks Bruce. I think I require a little more know how and a lot more practice to be able to hold my own. ta ta.

When I'm messing about with smilies and fishies, etc, I avoid leaving behind an unwanted journal entry by using only the preview button. It resolves the smilies et al and shows you how it will be parsed. Then I just abandon the post by clicking on "My Home" or just using the back button.
Hope this helps. See? I'm not _that_ daft (yet).

I just realised there may be some alternate interpretation of my last remark. To clarify, I was referring to the forum on stupidity, wherein I posted a (stupid?) comment that caused you to think me to be possibly daft.
Season's greetings to you, Geordie.

Thank you Nick o Teen I dont look on any one as stupid. Everyone has a potential for different levels of realisation which puts people on the same level but at different attitudes towards life. Take care, have a good year 2000.

I agree with you about people having different levels of realisation. However, this didn't apply to me several years ago when I was momentarily distracted (by my passenger) and turned onto a one-way street going the wrong way. I think there was fairly unanimous agreement that I was stupid just then (even I thought so at the time).
We all have our off days, don't we?
