I had a letter published in the Guardian magazine today:
"Jon Balaam's overly pedantic friend (letters, November 24) should be told that flies would explode, not implode, in a vacuum"

"May I suggest to Duncan Jones (letters, December 1) that there is nothing "overly pedantic" about getting basic science right. However, these days most lightbulbs have filling of inert gas (often nitrogen) so the flies may suffocate but would neither implode nor explode"
