Not only do most of your users have Christmas pasrties to go to, but also any problems due to machines with incorrectly formatted dates (US style) don't show up until the 13th!

December is a really bad month to do anything that doesn't come under the heading of Christmas shopping, and today's crowds meant it wasn't very good for that either
35 years! It's a helluva long time ago.
