My poem won the Christmas competition!

How exciting!
I saw an unfamiliar page on my Entries list today and checked it out to find I'd won the Christmas Poetry competition!
I'm very chuffed - to anyone who voted for my poem. The inspirations for the poem, my two cats, had a lovely time playing with ribbons and sitting on the wrapping paper as I was trying to wrap presents this year. Fortunately though, they didn't take much notice of the tree this time. I think they've come to the conclusion that I'm completely mad and every now and again I do something like this...

Oh no!!!! How do I complain about the picture of a nestbox that has been used? It's got a perching stick!!!!!

Ooops!! E-mail Editorial Feedback I suppose...
At least it's not very obvious as it is the same colour as the box and if people read the entry and follow your instructions they'll see why the nestbox shouldn't have a perching stick...
Oh, and you're ok with the vampire housemartins

Cheers! Gnomon spotted it too and left a note on the entry thread about it - I'm glad someone's being thorough as I skipped straight past the frontpage without noticing my own entry!

Would have been a shame if you'd missed it after all the wranglings over the design. One day I'll try to make my own nestbox, following your instructions. Though with my carpentry skills, no doubt it'll end up looking like something suitable only for the Wayne and Waynetta of the bird world...

Oh, sorry, we're meant to drinking large amounts of for you and not discussing perching posts....
Still in debt to you forever for picking up the housemartins shambles though

No probs - the image of vampire housemartins is forever lodged in my brain now though - I'll never be able to look at them in the same way again!
