I had my engagement party at the weekend there and now I have loads of picture frames and wine glasses

We're not having an engagement party, mainly cos no-one's here!! Loads of people have said that they are planning on coming out for their holidays throughout this year though, so we'll just have a series of piss-ups to celebrate!

We already have more wine glasses than I can fill and plenty photo frames too, so it's not a huge problem!!

No Scottish wedding, bed! Hopefully, it's gonna be a bit too warm for kilts!

I think that's a very poor excuse not to have a party! This may not be quite as good, but *somewhere* we ought to manage an engagement party for you.

Did I really say that??? Well the girly shopping trip has come and gone and for someone who wasn't having a traditional wedding dress, one trip to a lovely bridal shop and a huge deposit later, Deakie appears to have ordered herself a fairly traditional dress!!!!

DDD lurks in my space too much to describe it (he was very put out that he didn't get an invitation to the shop to see it until we sat him down and explained 'tradition' in very small words!!!) but I can say that it's not white or ivory (I have the worst tan in Portugal!!)and I look like a princess in it!!!! Well, no-one laughed when I put it on!!!

I'm sure you will look an absolute picture!

I'd have loved to have seen the dress, but there was no way that was happening! Guess I'll just have to wait until next April...

Now I've just gotta fit into the booger!!! It's in the shop now, the worst week for putting on weight in the whole year!

New Year diet required, methinks!
