I'm a fair bit better today. I could probably smoke a whole cigarette or eat a normal sized meal without having a violent urge to vomit uncontrollably..which is nice

that IS nice
...glad to hear you are feeling better and less upchucky...
i hate to throw up or even feel like it. .. tummy stuff has always been my cross so i know how awful it is.. . .
okay so i have had 2 cigarettes today.. making it 5 in the last. ...29 plus 13. ... .42 . ... . .. .hours
been feeling very alive the last cupla days... despite it not being cold-turkey anymore... this development seems somehow more honest and realistic.. . . also seems to be working kinda sorta... in a keep on keeping on kinda sorta way... .
have a towel

Hi, I just read your log so far and thought I would let you know that you do have an adudaince. Also I could be wrong but it sounds like you smoke mostly when you are stressed/angry and while I don't know much about smoking I know a ton about stress and anger. With that in mind have you tried tai chi I find that it is great for keeping me from building up stress then blowing my top like I used to.

forgive me as i first crack up
about you >>>blowing your top<<< as in halter and white shoulders perfume....
aaaaanyway.... good idea about the tai chi... i have always been attracted to it and actually was somewhere yesterday seeing about taking a class in it.... but i got testy and impatient with the lady at the desk because she was all new agey and unforthcoming about how things work at their little farout spacey little establishment... aaaaaaaaanyway i think i will go back... apologise... and sign up for the tai chi
thanks and good catch on when i smoke
here's a towel for you

Thanks for the towl, the halter thing is pretty funny but wasn't intintional when I said blow my top instead of go nuts or something. On a more seirous note I have know a real good book for begginers but would really suggest taking the class instead if you can make it.

yeah i think the tai chi thing is better anyway in a group... at least til you get the hang of it... i think it is beautiful to see all those people moving so gracefully in slow motion...

I thought I'd drop by and see how your doing. Did you get into the tai chi class? Also I forgot to mention it earlier but its a good idea to check out the reputation of a place before you take classes there, the h2g2 entry on tai chi has some good advice on that if you are interested.

thanks for asking...
its on again off again... mainly not smoking with a one little binge yesterday and some today...
i think it is about 30 cigarettes over the last week and a half all told...i have thrown almost 2 packs away (into the gulch) and sad to say found myself in the dark one nite with a flashlight clinging to the steep slope looking for one... i found one and thank goddess no more but if i had slipped up i would have fallen 20 or more feet... this is absolutely hilarious because i have been nervous about going down that slope (to weed etc) in the past... and in daylight no less!!
your asking reminds me of this thread to read it and to keep on keeping on... thanks

yes BeowulfSchaeffer i am still going strong... with a few moments of weakness but persevering... smoking an average of about 3 cigarettes a day... some days none other days more... but keeping on keeping on...
thanks for asking
it is so hard but one good thing is they are very unsatisfying now for the most part and i do not like how i feel after two... even one actually... so my body must be losing affinity for them... or however you say it...
.....
yay!
