i just saw John Lennon's Imagine for the first time... i cried all over again at the loss of this gentle sweet dedicated passionate brave and relentlessly hopeful and optimistic man from our midst... just as i mourn Douglas Adams, Sid Barret and Jim Henson.
i wish for you all the sentiments of the lyrics of this song... Happy Christmas (War is Over)... i am so sorry that the clip i am including here is so sad but i feel it is true and so i must place it here. I was looking for a clip with video of John but i ran into this one first.

i love the British... it is not that i knew that until recently... it is just that i have come to realise alot of my music and my reading and entertainment has come from England.... alot of what makes me think, has molded me, and comforts me...
Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Jasper FForde, Monty Python, The BBC's Planet Earth and Blue Planet... all of what David Attenbourough has done... i grew up reading the great English classics ...and i am still discovering more all the time.
So i guess you can see why it hurt me so much that the British here did not love me back... but i think probably the above cited, if ever they met me, would love me I have that on the best authority
so this really is it... goodbye all... i can't bear the quietude here any longer.
oh...

thanks, Bob
quietude really wasn't the right word there i looked it up after and it means peace and quiet whereas i was looking more for... well... just the silence and lack of response kinda...

Thats just H2G2 at the moment I just join in with anything that interests me. You are a great person and welcome anywhere and in any thread as you add something special.
Just pop in anytime, you reep what you sow when there are quiet times just say Hi in a few threads.
's and best wishes from England.

you know, when you said all that, i didn't agree with some of it (You are a great person and welcome anywhere and in any thread) but it still made me feel a little better... it comforted me...
i was in the classic christmas conundrum i think... alone, not in a place i could call home yet, nighttime, not happy with physical or mental self...
its a good thing i don't have tv or i maybe might have really gone off the deep end
and when we feel like that we really want to be told that things really arn't so bad... and i think we are willing to suspend belief a little too, we are so desperate!
so thanks Bobby you really are a gem!
oh! and here i found two of these great sponge drinking glass washers at the mall... is the green one okay?

I am glad that it helped, and well you do add to things you join in with.
The green one would be fine thanks.

Yeah, it's really sad how John Lennon preaches about "imagine no posessions" and then walks into his Georgian Mansion!
