How does one pronounce Achaar? And what is it?
Pickles..mmmm
Pickled eggs from the pub in your packet o' crisps. Or pickled eggs from the chippie...
Ever read James Herriot - the part where he has to suffer eating piccallilly (I have no idea how it's spelt and opted for innovative!) in this dear old ladies house?

Wasn't the problem the fatty ham, rather than the picallili/picallily (I'm sure either spelling is acceptable)?
Don't fancy pickled eggs in a pub, though. Surely they don't go with beer?

Oh....and Achaar is pronounced Achaaaaaaah and generally refers to any kind of spicy pickle. Think 'lime pickle'. Nice stirred into a curry too.

No quite right, they don't go too well with beer and look dreadful second time around , but at first it seems like a good idea

Oh lime pickle, yum I thought it sound Indian-ish
Ohh curry, haven't had curry for a while.....hmmmm, *mental note - to get curry ingredients, beer, garam...)

For really great Indian recipes, google Manta's Kitchen. She's an e-pal of mine. I must get around to getting my own recipe site back up: Flaming Pie: Vegetarian Recipes with Attitude. The site that elevates tofu to a foodstuff.
