No...bit further north - Norman MacCaig. If my memory's right it was one he dedicated to Hugh MacDiarmid, but the name escapes me.

Ooh! Ooh! I do know the one...and I've been trying to recall the first line or title so I can look it up in my Bumper Book of Norman McCaig. The one that has something about McDiarmid shooting at a bird and bringing down the landscape, yes?
