Cloud and Aeris, my finches, went back to the planet today.
K and I were sat on the kitchen floor for over an hour crying ourselves stupid, I still can't believe they've gone.
Daft, I know, but still, they were part of our family.
Sleep well my beautiful little ones.

Losing pets, as others have said, is losing a member or members of your family. Its heartbreaking.
