h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Got a couple of friends email addresses recently. So I spent some of my afternoon composing an huge play list of the music I listen to and sent that to one of my friends. Pleased to find someone else who listens to similar sort of stuff to me

And also got another mates email so that I could send him links to the mindmaps I'm doing as he may find them useful. Hardly seems a good idea for just me to use them when they might help others. Although he wasn't feeling very well earlier. I did tell him to go home as he was ill but he said he was going to see his other friends first and then go home but I'm not sure he did. I'm kinda tempted to email him and check that he's ok... not sure though.

And there was a fair where I live and 4 of my friends came round to see if was going to go to it with them. Unfortunately there was a slight mix up, my sister thought they were looking for my other brother and said he wasn't in. So I ended up not going and had to explain the next day why I was ignoring my friends!

I shall have no social life this holiday, then again, i dont get one anyway because i live so far from my school and friends that even when i would get invited to something, i cant go, and this year we havent even got the summer party.

Grumble grumble

I've never been one for mind maps, or any revision method more complicated than reading my notes through, has worked thus far, albeit requiring a large amount of time.

Normally my mindmaps are really messy but I've got a program that I use. Theres a thread in misc chat about it but I too tired to look for it atm. I might see if any of my friends want to go and watch something at the cinema this holidays, although there actually has to be something decent on and the film selection isn't looking great so far.

I feel mindmaps by computer are slightly odd, though saying that i know the program you're talking about.
The problem with me not going with the teacher advised revision methods, is that every single year i have to fight the same rear-guard action.
You'd think given that i got A*s in the GCSE subjects that im taking to A2, they might leave me alone - know if we were doing english lit then they might have a point.

If it makes eitherr of you feel any better, I was the only person in my school who lived in Germany, so no chance of meeting friends in the hols. At home we lived on a very tiny base, and I was the only teenager there (apart from my bro, and we all know - siblings don't count) for the whole of my teenage years.

Actually I tell a lie. There were Germans, but since my school didn't offer the language my skills there were sorely lacking, and Germans are notoriously difficult to get to know. I used to spend winter ice skating on my own and summer at the pool on my own reading.

No lasting harm done, I think...

I might see if some of my friends want to go and see something at the cinema in the holidays, I should probably get a few of their phone numbers as well. Especially seeing as I put credit on my phone today!

I got back from Dublin today.

Was good, and my delegation did well, but i need to do one and a bit maths papers today, and the same plus 3 pages of greek tommorrow, and it runs from there.

I've not done an awful lot of work today, and I'm busy tomorrow as well, at least it's the holidays. I'm glad I don't have that much work though.
