h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm now 3 weeks (ish) into Sixth from life. Overall I have to say that it's not too bad, at times it can even be quite fun.

I dropped chemistry for physics and I find physics more interesting than chemistry and its also better for any of the computing courses that I want to do. Biology is good fun and I get on well with the people sitting near me, which is always good.

Computing Studies is good, I'm learning Java at the moment I am slightly hampered by he fact i did no visual basic, but having taught myself a *very* small amount of Perl I know some of the jargon and have some of the ideas but its all good fun. if only the teacher would stop saying everything at least 3 times!!

I dislike maths as i work slower than the rest of the class and the teacher doesn't liked that but hey, its how i work and he can;t change it. I am doing extra bits out of lessons when i get the time but I'm still a bit disorganized at the moment

i should really start reading through my notes at the end of each day. I'll start tomorrow its 8 now and i have some other bits to do.

Don't worry about not doing VB - it really is only the most basic (hah!) things that carry over. You doing actual Java as in object oriented coding - classes, methods, attributes, setters and getters, private and public methods, main methods all that sort of thing? If so vb is no guide as it isn't OO.

some of that even makes sense. and I appeared to have developed a bit of a reputation with my teacher as asking why does it do that type questions, now he's started to answer them before i get chance to ask them
